Industries We Serve

Aerospace

aerospace2Aerospace

Waterjet cutting is widely used for a number of applications in the Aerospace industry. One distinct advantage that waterjet offers is that it leaves no heat-affected zone. Being a cold-cutting method allows the material to retain its original properties and will not cause stress in the metal or change the structure of the material. Another unique advantage is the ability to cut composites and exotic materials that simply no other cutting method can.

Architectural

architectural1Architectural

Waterjets are becoming increasingly popular in the architectural industry. From structural components to staircases, waterjets can handle a wide variety of your cutting needs. Save money for projects such as new building construction, bridges and city development by utilizing dynamic nesting. Quick turnaround can help meet your project deadlines.

Automotive

Whether you’re seeking high precision, prototype, or custom parts for your automotive needs, waterjet is the most efficient and cost saving solution. Anything from copper racing gaskets to custom visual pieces can be easily achieved on a waterjet machine.

Marine

Another distinct advantage of waterjet is its ability to cut a very diverse family of materials. This niche makes it widely used in the marine industry, especially when it comes to custom projects, large or small.

Glass

Glass

Glass cutting is a suitable application for a waterjet. It allows for contours and shapes that cannot be achieved with other cutting methods or would be very costly to produce.  Without any tooling or setup changes, a fabricator can go from cutting sheet metal to cutting delicate glass. In fact, a waterjet can cut the strongest laminated, bullet-resistant glass on the market which can be as thick as 4 in.

Plastic & Rubber

Waterjet cutting is suitable for many foam, rubber, plastic, insulation, and woven materials. Typically these materials are cut using a steel rule die, which must be designed and constructed for each cutting job. A waterjet replaces the need for the die, which can cost thousands of dollars. Another advantage is the cold nature of the waterjet stream eliminates the possibility of material releasing noxious fumes. Rubber can be cut with a water-only nozzle for faster and cleaner cutting. Water-only cutting wastes little material and the cutting process is extremely rapid, allowing production times to be greatly reduced.

Signage

Signs come in many shapes and sizes, consisting of different components and layers. Pegasus NW has the solution to all your signage needs, whether interior or exterior. Our in-house consulting service will help you realize all your project requirements, while our fabricators can express your corporate identity in a vast range of ways: Desk Signs, Directories, Informationals, Evacuation, etc…

Tile & Stone

tile2Tile & Stone

A waterjet’s small stream size and low-pressure piercing capability make it well suited for cutting tile and stone. Waterjet cutting is the ideal method for the production of inlays and company logos or the cutting of floor and wall covering elements. It opens up a whole new dimension for creative designs and solutions never before thought possible. The technology is also very suitable for the cutting of combined materials, for example inlays in stone and metal or combinations of tiles and glass.
